I'm almost 50 and feel all of these things. It's not just young men, it's men in general and not just white men given the increase in support from Black and Latino men. Also have a son who was a teenager in the days of Me Too and all the shame you speak of has been a part of his formative years. And yes, he has swung farther right based on his experience.

Thanks Greg! And a welcome reminder it's more widespread than just young men (although perhaps that's where the largest swings are). I do hope the left's relationship with shame can be renegotiated here. I haven't met a therapist who isn't deeply concerned with what's going on there.

Unfortunately for the Democrats, once you start playing identity politics, those who are excluded will learn the rules of the game and side with those who appeal to their identities.
