IMO mental health shouldn't get redefined as one thing, because it actually refers to so many things and that's part of the problem. In some men's circles I've been in, instead of "how are you doing?" we will use a checkin like PIES- physical, intellectual, emotional, and spiritual. Or SPIRE, which adds "relational." And some people throw in financial too. None of these are perfect, but they are much deeper than "I'm fine" or "I don't feel great."
this is dope. thank you
Appreciate it Harry!
Yup. Therapy terms feel inherently gynocentric. Using man language for manly men is certainly more useful. Smashed it bro.
